FEES Fees for Individual Therapy $150 for 45 minutes $170 for 55 minutes Fees for Couples Therapy $185 for 55 minutes $215 for 75 minutes (required for first session) Fee Increases I slightly raise my fees annually. I will notify you in writing several months before the fee increase, and if it poses a significant burden, we can discuss options. All fees are due at the time of service. Payment can be made in the following ways. PAYMENT METHODS Therapy Partner – This is an online secure credit card site for therapists. If you choose this option, your card will be kept securely stored and you will be charged the session fee on the day of your session. Zelle – To use Zelle, if your bank offers it, you will be able to transfer your fee for service to this email: drpjohnson@live.com. INSURANCE I do not currently accept insurance. Many insurance companies will reimburse you for some portion of the fee. To find out if you will be reimbursed, the best way is to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask directly about your out-of-network benefits. Then, if you want to submit to insurance, I will email you a monthly billing statement that contains the information your insurance company will require. I also recommend that when you call your insurance company you ask how to submit the documentation to them, and what you will be reimbursed. POLICIES Important Notice - No Surprises Act This act became law on January 1, 2022. Under the federal No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
